| The
Rosecrans Project |

The
Rosecrans Project Blog is
now online. Visit
the blog here!
Artist's
journal and images of the Rosecrans series. Inspired by the
artist's trips to Rosecrans National Military Cemetery on
Point Loma in San Diego, the focus of this series has been
on the question "How do we get past war?"
You are invited to pick as many pieces as inspire you to blog
about a name for the piece that tells its story. Also, because
this is a blog, you will be able to see what others have said
before or after you to inspire your own comments. You are welcome
to return as often as you wish to give additional input based
on what others have said or just to see what new insights others
have posted.

Me Name a Piece |
| I have observed
that people are often drawn to a particular piece which has something
to tell them and that when they explore their reactions to the
piece it opens the piece up to understanding by others as well.
Currently, I am experimenting with naming pieces on line.

| The
Poetry Book Project |
| During 2000,
I originated the first of several collaborative arts projects
with my work: The Poetry Book Project. Eighteen local
San Diego poets, many associated with the creative writing program
at San Diego State University were invited to view my relief sculptures
and asked to choose one or more to write poems about. Read

| The
Music Project |
| Two local San Diego
composers were invited to view my relief sculptures and were asked
to choose one or more pieces to use as an inspiration for musical
compositions and performances. These compositions were then
performed at the BEC Gallery show opening in May of 2001.
